Often times we only think it's the bride that does all the wedding planning, but when it comes to groom they have a wedding planning checklist as well. Robert Moritz on The Knot provides a 12-month checklist for the groom. As the wedding gets within a week or two, Robert suggest the groom makes sure these items are taken care of: Do something romantic for fiancé, have a good time at your bachelor, but don't do something stupid (a.k.a. The Hangover), double check your honeymoon reservations, prepare for your wedding speech and be ready to say something that will bring your bride to tears, make sure your groomsmen are ready, and get a haircut
The last suggestion would seem like a no brainer, but what if you get a bad haircut the day before your wedding? How can you avoid that?
Makeup artist Jentry Aldridge (Facebook and Instagram) suggests that men do a couple of things on the grooming side of things the week leading up to the wedding.

- First off, DO NOT get your hair cut the day before the wedding. That is a big No No. You want to avoid the danger of that bad haircut. Jentry recommends getting your haircut a week before the wedding day, this is an important item to add to your wedding planning checklist. By getting your haircut a week before you allow a little time for your hair to grow a little bit and your style look effortless.
- Second, the only cutting or shaving you want to be doing the day before the wedding is a neck trim. This provides the appearance of a fresh cut. Jentry recommends using a good after shave, especially if you have dry skin because it will leave your face feeling fresh and moisturized. She suggests Nivea Post Shave Balm because it will lock in moisture and leave your skin feeling fresh and smooth.
- Third, guys it's okay for you to get a facial too. It is good to follow the same time frame mentioned in my earlier post for the brides If you are going to do a facial, do it at least one to two weeks prior to the wedding day, but it all depends on your skin type because it may cause a breakout. So the more time you give yourself, the less you have to worry about your skin not looking good for pictures.
One product Jentry recommends for hair and skin is a tea tree hair and body moisturizer. The tea tree will cause a cooling sensation when using it, but will make sure your skin is hydrated.
The bride isn't the only one that needs to worry about prepping weeks before the wedding, the groom has his checklist too. Make sure to do some research or consult a Makeup artist like Jentry in order to make sure you look your best on your wedding day.
