The wedding day is an important one for the Bride, and it takes a lot of wedding planning. We know there's a lot of prep work on the actual day before she ever takes a step down the aisle. In Linda Diproperzio's article 6 Things Every Bride Should Do Before She Puts On Her Wedding Gown, she lists that a bride should:

  1. Eat and drink
  2. Go to the bathroom
  3. Put on the right undergarments
  4. Brush your teeth
  5. Steam it (the dress)
  6. Do a stain check

These are all important tips, but what else can brides do to prep for their big day to get that special "Bridal Glow"? Makeup artist Jentry Aldridge (Makeup and Hair by Jae - Facebook and Instagram) offered these two tips that a bride should be do prior to her wedding day to get that glow they desire.
  1. First, Jentry recommends for brides to get a facial, but it is important to do it at least a week prior to the wedding day and two weeks if possible before the actual wedding day. She says, "I know so many people who do it the day before and end up regretting it. What happens when you get a facial is your face is exfoliated and all that gunk underneath  your skin gets pulled up to the surface. A lot of the time you break out in pimples after a facial, or you could even have a reaction if you haven't gotten a facial before." To also reduce the chance for a breakout she suggests making the week leading up to the wedding as stress free as possible.
  2. Second, she recommends the night before the wedding to sleep in a moisturizing sleep mask or an oil to really give yourself that "Bridal Glow".
A personal recommendation to help make the day of as stress free as possible is to hire a professional to do your makeup. Let someone else make you look fabulous while you relax.
